Stainless Steel 348H Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel grade that consists mainly of 17–20% chromium and 8–11% nickel along with added columbium (niobium) for increased stability in welding and high-temperature service. The “H” marking means a higher carbon content, enhancing creep resistance and mechanical strength at high temperatures. These tubes generally provide tensile strength of 515–750 MPa and yield strength of approximately 205 MPa. 348H tubing possesses outstanding resistance to intergranular corrosion, good weldability, and retains mechanical properties in environments up to greater than 800°C, proving suitable for constant high-heat applications.
